New Zealand is a beautiful and exciting travel destination that attracts tourists and explorers world-wide, including all of us here at Cabeau! For this month’s destination we decided to take a deeper look at one of the most breathtaking countries in the world. Here are three of our favorite adventure picks for New Zealand:

glow worm cave, new zealand

Glow Worm Cave, New Zealand

1. Hang out in the Glow Worm Cave
Sure it’s a major tourist attraction, but it’s also a unique and unforgettable experience! Take a boat ride into the cave and enjoy the sight of thousands of glow worms, each beaming with shimmering blue light that makes you feel as if you’re under a million stars. You may have a hard time capturing it for Instagram, but who wants to be staring at a screen with a view like this? #enjoythemoment

Kawarau Bridge, New Zealand

Kawarau Bridge, New Zealand

2. Bungee jump from the historic Kawarau Bridge
You can bungee jump all around the world, but not with a view like this. While we’re all for pleasant hikes and a nap in the sun, somehow, making the trip to the breathtaking Kawarau Gorge and jumping off a bridge sounds more appealing.

the shire, new zealand

Middle Earth, New Zealand

3. Take a tour of “Middle-Earth”
Between the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, we’ve been chomping at the bit to make a journey to The Shire ourselves. We would love to walk the lush landscapes of Middle Earth (a.k.a New Zealand) for ourselves, and relive the adventures of Bilbo, Frodo and Gandalf. Many of the sets — like the homes built into the hills of Hobbiton, and other memorable scenes from the films are still kept up, made especially for visitors.

Movie sets aside, the beautiful mountains, wide valleys and miles of nature is enough to have us thinking of staying in New Zealand for good!
