Getting ready for that big trip you’ve been waiting for months to go on? You might think you’ve got everything ready to go, but it might be best to do a quick double check, and follow some of our recommendations to ensure smooth sailing (or flying) before you lock your doors.
- Create a list: Yes, it’s not the most fun thing in the world, but having a one-stop-shop for anything you might need, in one place, can make a world of difference. Mark off each item to make sure nothing gets left behind!
- Stay hydrated: Drink lots of water. Airplanes might offer plenty to drink, and they have coffee, but sticking with good old H2o is one of the best ways to keep your body alert and ready to have a good time when you arrive to your destination.
- Be comfortable: Traveling in an airplane usually means cramped quarters, stuffy situations, and a occasional bumpy ride. Grab a travel-ready backpack to store your supplies, a travel pillow to make yourself more comfortable, and a sleep mask for those day-time flights when your travel companions just can’t shut the shades.
- Turn off your electronics: That’s right. Unplug. You’re on vacation, and should act like it. Enjoy your destination (whether a state over, or across the ocean), and take it all in. These are moments you’re creating, and you should get the most out of it.
